Beyoncé Halts Houston Show After Flying Car Malfunction During “Cowboy Carter” Tour

Beyoncé was forced to briefly pause her Houston concert on Saturday night after a prop malfunctioned during one of the final songs of her “Cowboy Carter” tour. The incident occurred as the superstar was performing “16 Carriages” while seated in a red flying car suspended above the crowd at NRG Stadium. Mid-performance, the car tilted unexpectedly, prompting Beyoncé to abruptly call out, “Stop, stop, stop.”
Video clips shared online showed the car leaning dramatically to one side, causing concern among fans in the audience. Though visibly affected, Beyoncé remained composed as fans shouted for her safety. She ultimately returned to the stage to finish the song on solid ground, reassuring the crowd with, “If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.” The moment stood out as a rare interruption in one of her typically seamless performances.
While neither Beyoncé’s team nor NRG Stadium representatives have responded to requests for comment, the singer shared photos from the show on Instagram, including an image of her in the tilted car. “I love you, Houston,” she wrote. Saturday’s concert marked one of two back-to-back hometown shows on her months-long tour, which has included stops across the U.S. and Europe. Her three-hour set features tracks from Cowboy Carter along with classics like “Crazy in Love” and “Irreplaceable.”
