Brandy and Monica Announce First-Ever Co-Headlining Tour, Celebrating 25 Years of “The Boy Is Mine”

R&B icons Brandy and Monica are reuniting for a historic co-headlining tour, marking the first time the two will share a stage on a full tour. Announced Tuesday, The Boy Is Mine Tour will visit 24 arenas across the U.S., kicking off October 16 and wrapping December 7. The tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of their chart-topping 1998 duet, “The Boy Is Mine,” a defining anthem of ’90s R&B.
“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy said in a statement. “Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music—it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come.” Monica echoed the sentiment, calling the tour “a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us.” Both artists emphasized that the reunion reflects mutual respect, growth, and a continued love for authentic R&B.
Excitement around the tour has been amplified by the duo’s recent appearance in Ariana Grande’s “the boy is mine” video and their vocals on the remix, bridging generations of fans. Special guests for the tour include Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and American Idol winner Jamal Roberts. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday at 10:00 AM local time via Ticketmaster.com.
