Diddy’s Prison Release Date Moved Up Again Amid Ongoing Appeal

Sean Combs is now set to be released from prison earlier than expected, with federal records showing his new release date as April 15, 2028—10 days sooner than previously scheduled. The adjustment follows an earlier reduction that cut more than a month off his original sentence after his 2025 conviction on prostitution-related charges.
Combs’ release timeline has shifted multiple times, initially set for May 8, 2028, before being pushed back to June 4 and later moved up to April 25. The latest revision further shortens his 50-month sentence, though representatives for the music mogul have not publicly commented on the update.
The development comes as Combs’ legal team prepares to argue his appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on April 9. His attorneys contend the encounters in question were consensual and that the sentence was excessive, while prosecutors have urged the court to uphold the conviction, citing allegations of repeated and coercive behavior.
