Judge Allows Alternative Service in Clayton Howard’s Lawsuit Against Cassie

A federal judge has cleared the way for sex worker Clayton Howard to move forward with his lawsuit accusing Cassie Ventura of cooperating with Sean “Diddy” Combs to subject him to sex trafficking. Howard, who appears in the controversial Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, alleges that both Combs and Cassie recruited and exploited him during so-called “freak-off” encounters. His complaint claims Cassie not only participated in the abuse but later evaded attempts to serve her with the civil suit.
According to an exclusive report from AllHipHop’s Grouchy Greg Watkins, Judge Anne Hwang granted Howard permission to serve Cassie through alternative methods after multiple failed attempts to reach her directly or through her previous attorney, Douglas Wigdor. While the exact nature of these alternative means was not disclosed, the court instructed Howard to deliver the summons, order, and complaint to Cassie and her attorney Meredith Firetog so the filings can be forwarded. The ruling removes a major procedural hurdle in a case that had stalled due to Cassie’s reported unavailability.
Howard maintains that Cassie, despite her own trauma, contributed to the exploitation of less powerful individuals during Combs’ alleged sex-trafficking operations. With Diddy already serving a prison sentence, Howard argues that Cassie should also face accountability for her role. As the lawsuit now proceeds, all eyes are on whether Cassie will respond publicly and how this new legal chapter will intersect with the broader fallout from The Reckoning, which already intensified scrutiny of Combs’ past conduct and relationships.
