Tweet Signs with SRG-ILS Group, Set to Headline Fibroid Awareness Event in NYC

The SRG-ILS Group has officially welcomed Grammy-nominated R&B artist Tweet to its growing roster of powerhouse talent. Known for her 2002 hit "Oops (Oh My)," the award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer is gearing up for a dynamic return to the music scene. With new energy, a bold voice, and fresh material on the horizon, Tweet is ready to make her mark once again under her new label home.


Tweet will also take center stage at “Your Health in Full Bloom,” a high-profile awareness event and concert hosted by Fibroid Fighters on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. The evening includes a panel with leading health experts, a VIP banquet dinner, and an intimate concert. Tweet will perform alongside fellow R&B powerhouse LaTocha of Xscape, with appearances by TV personalities Cynthia Bailey, Toya Johnson, and Cara Maria Sorbello. The event aims to blend entertainment with education on women's health, particularly uterine fibroids.


Tweet’s participation carries a deeply personal message. She has publicly shared her battle with fibroids, a condition affecting 26 million American women—especially Black women. Through past interviews and advocacy work, Tweet has called for greater awareness, early diagnosis, and emotional support. Her appearance at “Your Health in Full Bloom” promises to elevate the conversation, offering both inspiration and solidarity to those facing similar health struggles.

Robbie Pardlo, former lead singer of the early 2000s R&B group City High, has died at the age of 46. TMZ reported that Pardlo passed away on Thursday, July 17, in Willingboro, New Jersey, surrounded by friends and family. No official cause of death has been released. A representative for Pardlo shared that memorial details will be announced soon. Pardlo rose to fame alongside bandmates Claudette Ortiz and Ryan Toby after forming City High in 1999. The trio signed with Wyclef Jean’s Booga Basement label and released their Grammy-nominated debut album in 2001, which featured hits like “What Would You Do?” and “Caramel” with rapper Eve. The group disbanded in 2003, and Pardlo later formed another R&B band, First Take, performing with major artists like Whitney Houston and Lil Kim. In 2010, Pardlo appeared on Intervention, candidly discussing his struggles with alcoholism following City High’s breakup and personal relationship issues. Despite public challenges, his brother Gregory Pardlo shared a touching tribute, remembering Robbie as a “sweet, goofy kid” beneath his tough persona. Pardlo is survived by his wife, Anika, and their two children.
